A longwinded five

Struggled to come up with a third guess from the results of guess two, so ended up going tactical on three, which is unusual. This didn't help much which meant another tactical for four. A good five minutes of pondering followed, but thankfully delivered the answer

Usual factfinders didn't find many facts, it was the fourth letter of the fourth attempt that saved the day, it being wrong ruled out a lot of potential answers and reduced what was left to basically one (that I could think of)

Very similar for me, although mine was a sweaty six. My guess five ruled out the fourth letter the same as your fourth, but it took me a while to come up with the final answer

3 which could have been a 2, but considered it an abbreviation rather than a word so took the other option which was wrong

Another six today, there have been a few lately, although it was a safe one thanks to a tactical fifth guess

A reasonably straight forward six, thankfully

Guess three gave a possible recipe for disaster as presented more options than guesses. Allowed myself a punt for guess four (which was wrong), then had to go tactical for five which thankfully gave the answer

A sweaty six today, involving a tactical fifth that thankfully provided the answer

I dislike this type of game, as you are in the realms of number of possibilities versus number of guesses. I would usually go tactical to reduce the number of possibles, but nothing jumped out and could only really think of a couple of options; so opted to just go for the guesses. Thankfully it worked out

Oh if only I did. It does remain on my "to do" list.
It was however a flimsy, internal, concertina door. My ability to move swiftly enough to leave a hole in a door is questionable, this door's ability to allow this, even more so.

I would suggest the flimsiness of the said door is entirely in the hands of the clumsy beholder Grin

Witness my hand this day, the 4th of April in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty four, that I, Peter Ratcliffe, Buffoon of this parish, did, on Easter Monday of this year without forethought or indeed without any kind of thought, did oafishly trip and fall and in doing so caused grievous damage to a door of the folding variety, that had done me no harm whatsoever.
Mea Culpa, Mea culpa, Mea maxima culpa

I have read the last few training posts, and then reread them. I have failed to find any reference to a door incident! Surely this should be documented to ensure it is appropriately recorded for posterity...
